IF YOU ARE CALLING ABOUT THE LOCATION OF A SPECIFIC BUS DURING THE ACTUAL AM OR PM BUS ROUTE, PLEASE CALL THE FIRST STUDENT BUS DISPATCHER AT 203-454-1984.
The Weston Public Schools are using FIRST STUDENT and RELIA Transportation for the current school year. Modeled on area districts of similar size and geography, this arrangement is expected to provide consistent and excellent service to our students and families. FIRST STUDENT will be transporting all students to and from Hurlutt Elementary School, Weston Intermediate School, Weston Middle School, and Weston High School. RELIA Transportation will provide transportation to students receiving special education services at schools outside of the district.
Students on Standard Bus Routes -- Buses 1-17 & 19-21
If you have any questions or concerns regarding school bus transportation, including routing and pick-up/drop-off times, please contact Marilyn Dietzman at First Student at (203) 454-1984. Her email address is firstname.lastname@example.org. Ms. Dietzman is based on the Weston campus and works solely on Weston Public Schools transportation.
All notifications to families and staff concerning delays and coordination of bus route information for Buses 1-17 and 19-21 will be managed by Ms. Dietzman.
Students on Individually Scheduled Bus Routes -- Buses 31-32
Parents or guardians of students riding on Bus 31 or 32, in-district special education transportation, should also contact Ms. Dietzman if a ride needs to be canceled or if there are any route related issues.
All notifications to families and staff concerning delays and coordination of bus route information for Buses 31-32 will be managed by Ms. Dietzman.
Students on Individually Scheduled Bus Routes -- Out of District Transportation
Parents or guardians of students riding on special education transportation to schools located outside of the district, please contact Brenda Deleon or Ashera Russell, our Relia representatives, at 203-380-9616 if a ride needs to be cancelled or if there are any route related issues.
Bus Aide Information
For questions regarding bus aides for students riding First Student or Relia, please contact Joann Tyborowski, Weston Public Schools, at 203-221-6586.
Specific information regarding your child’s bus route will be available to you in the Powerschool Parent Portal when this portal is opened to families or soon after the first day the portal is open. Families will be notified when the portal is open. Once the portal is open, please check your child’s bus information regularly as it can be updated as necessary prior to the start of school.
The WIS on-line School Dismissal Manager will start operation on September 9, 2019. WIS Families will be contacted by email in early September with instructions, username and temporary password. For the first 2 weeks of school, students will need a written note for any alternate PM dismissal plans. (All daily dismissal changes at WIS MUST be entered by 1:00pm on the day of the alternate transportation/activity. The deadline is 10:00am on early dismissal days.)
